Wave Harmonics

DoNow: A whistle has a closed end where the lips are blowing air through and an open end where air is exhausted. Why do you think Joe must make a whistle that is 1/4 of a wavelength for the amplitude to produce a loud pitch? (notes)

AIM: I will be able to describe the reflection that occurs at a node or an antinode and which type of instrument follows which type of reflection.
